Local Artists Exhibit

The community of Harrington Hospital often seeks creative expressions from local artists to brighten our corridor walls. We are aspiring to enhance the Harrington HealthCare Systems experience with paintings and photographs and bring the community into the hospital to promote the wealth of artistic talent that resides in the 17 towns in South Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Connecticut.

Harrington Hospital in Southbridge sees approximately 70,000 visitors each year including patients, families, staff, students, and business leaders. Your art can be prominently displayed for all of these visitors to admire and purchase. You will determine the price of your work and keep 85 percent of the profit while donating 15 percent to the Harrington Hospital Auxiliary for grants and scholarships. As a part of this program, your work of art will help support many of the local programs and causes sponsored by the Harrington Hospital Auxiliary.

We have quarterly rotating exhibits: June 1 – September 1; September 1 – November 1; November 1 – March 1; March 1 – June 1.

We are currently accepting applications for the next quarterly rotation. Please submit the application packet below by May 14, 2012.

Call for Entries – BMAC New England Biennial

The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center seeks submissions for its first New England Biennial, a juried exhibition open to artists in the sixNew England states. Approximately 12 winners will be selected, each of whom will show a curated body of work or installation. Selected applicants will appear in an online gallery. Call for Entries: New England Biennial 2012 Deadline: June 1, 2012

New England Biennial 2012 is a juried exhibition organized by BMAC that showcases established, mid-career, and emerging artists working in all media.      12 artists will be selected for the exhibition, each of whom will show a curated body of work or an installation. Selected applicants will also be included in an online gallery.

Eligibility: New England Biennial 2012 (NEBi 2012) is open to artists working in all media who live in any of the six New England states (Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island).

Application: To apply for inclusion in NEBi 2012, submit an application form, artist statement (optional), images, and a non-refundable application fee of $30 ($20 for BMAC members) by June 1, 2012.

CALL TO ARTISTS!

The broad theme of “UNBOUND~VOL II” encompasses all of the possibilities of what we may think or may not think a “book” is. Is it story? An entry to another world? An exploration? What does it indicate? This juried show looks to explore these ideas of “the book” and all the ways artists use its format as a stepping off point or as a material to explore new ideas.

 2nd Annual Eclectic Summer Showcase International Exhibition

Gallore Gallery in Middletown, CT announces a call to all artists for a juried art exhibition, August 2-31, 2012. ESSIE Award, Solo Exhibition, Gallery Representation. 2011 Annual FABER BIRREN NATIONAL COLOR AWARD SHOW

In 1980, Faber Birren, world renowned color consultant, author of 27 books on color, endowed the Faber Birren Color Award of $1200 for original and creative expression of color. The Faber Birren Color Award Show has grown from a regional exhibit to one of national scope, encouraging artists in all media.
