I am a mixed-media artist, photographer, mom, nature-lover and daydreamer. I find beauty, life, and character in the abandoned, ignored, hidden, discarded, and disregard.   My photography captures reality with originality and brings to life the lifeless.

A former social worker, with no formal education or training in photography, I felt overwhelmingly compelled to pick up a camera for the first time a little over a year ago during an acutely stressful time in my life. It occurred to me that I could capture images that reflected how I was feeling or what I was thinking at a given moment.  I began to notice pictures “everywhere”. The camera was not a tool, but instead became an extension of me. So, as I like to say, I take pictures with my soul…. not my camera
