The Arts Program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is currently accepting applications from visual artists who are interested in being considered for its artists’ registry. This registry will be used as a resource for future projects commissioned for Inside&Out: A Public Art Project. Inside&Out, funded in part by The New England Foundation for the Arts, is a comprehensive art plan for DHMC in Lebanon, NH. Art projects included in this project will be collaborative works intended to engage the entire medical community- patients, staff, and visitors.
Interested artists should provide: a resume, a short artist’s statement, and images (CD) or link to a website. These should be sent no later than August 1st, 2010 to:

The 38th annual Mattoon Arts Festival
will be Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Springfield, Massachusetts. The outdoor arts and crafts show is held on a quaint street of restored brick Victorian rowhouses. Reputed to be one of the nicest street fairs in New England, it is organized by neighborhood volunteers to raise funds for maintaining and enhancing the area. Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Canvas Wines, inspired by a love for fine art, wish to inspire others to share their passion of art and wine with the Canvas Artist Series. Hyatt welcomes art students in the 50 United States and D.C. to submit their artistic interpretation of the varietal characteristics of Canvas Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot. One winner for each varietal wine will receive a $5,000 scholarship and have their artwork featured as a label on a special bottling of Canvas Wines.

Wine Label Art: Art students from an accredited art school or program may create an original artistic representation of the varietal characteristics of the three main Canvas Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot using original artwork.
