Customizing Text by Applying Filters

by Katie Petrone

A fun way to customize your font is by applying a filter to your text.
1) First select the Type tool. Click on the canvas and begin typing.

2)You can use the different text options at the top to further change your text. Your text must be highlighted for changes to be applied.

4) Select the layer and click Filter in the Menu at the top of your screen. A drop down menu will appear and towards the bottom are filter groups . Mouse over a group and another drop down menu will appear with a list of filters. From there you can select the filter you would like to apply.
Example:
For this example I clicked filter, moused over Pixelate, and selected the Pointillize filter.
